The conference provided an opportunity to debate, share experiences and build networks among craftspeople, researchers and individuals interested in exploring how heritage and craftsmanship can contribute to a more sustainable future. Working groups were held around questions such as: How can craftsmanship be connected to environmental sustainability? and How can it become a genuine driver of rural development? In addition, a citizen laboratory was tested, allowing participants to gain first-hand experience of how prototypes are created from initial project ideas.

The programme also included space for leisure, with the celebration of a “Nueche en danza” (“Night of Dance”), dedicated to traditional Asturian music and dance, which in recent years has become an essential resource for cultural revitalisation across the region.
