X JORNADAS DE PATRIMONIO CULTURAL
On 25th and 26th October, La Ponte-Research and Ecomuseum Centre organises as every year the Cultural Heritage Conference in Villanueva de Santo Adriano, Asturias, with the collaboration of the Town Council and the business centre El Sabil. This is the tenth edition and its celebration is framed within the research project Culturality (CULTUral heritage in RURAL remote areas for creative tourism and sustainability), specifically within the activities called rural spot that are carried out by the partners in remote rural areas.
This year’s 2024 conference is entitled ‘Crafts and built heritage: development, sustainability and tourism in rural areas’ and aims to bring together craftspeople, academics and the local community to share and debate. The first day will feature face-to-face and virtual presentations, which will take place at the El Sabil business centre. On the second day, the activities, as well as the round table will focus on the hórreo as a fundamental heritage element of the Asturian countryside, and will be held at the Escuelina. All the activities are free and open access.
