Espacio Tormaleo S.L.

Espacio Tormaleo is an SME developing a singular recovery and revitalisation project in the Tormaleo area within Ibias municipality, a rural and remote area located in the southwest territory of Asturias region (Spain). Although the whole area is of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by the Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña e Ibias Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and part of the Natura 2000 Network; it has been highly degraded due to coal mining activities over the last decades. Through the promotion of cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, leisure and entrepreneurship, EspacioTormaleo serves as a local hub for cultural activities, events, and community gatherings in order to transform the territory in a hub for rural economic development, promoting a viable future to the territory. The company has already developed several projects in the area featuring artistic performances, exhibitions, workshops, and educational programs aimed at promoting local culture, heritage, and creativity. With its diverse range of offerings, Espacio Tormaleo plays a vital role in enriching the cultural landscape of the area and fostering community engagement and participation. Through the convergence of arts, heritage, and innovation it creates a captivating tapestry of cultural expression that showcases the rich Asturian culture.
